Dallon's FRIEND Birthday Party

Dallon really wanted a birthday party where he could invite his friends over. I really didn't want to have 10 six year olds over - way too hectic for me. I think I would have an anxiety attack!

So we originally told Dallon he could have a party at Toad's Arcade and invite 5 of his friends. Well about a month before Dallon's birthday, Ryan and I took our kids and went to Toad's on a Saturday afternoon. When we go there, both of us just looked at each other and said "NO WAY!" There was no way we were going to be able to keep track of 6 six year olds with all these other kids running around. So the guest list went from 5 down to 2. It was drama enough to narrow it down to 5 - so you can only imagine what it was like to get down to 2!

In order to help the undecisive, soon-to-be six year old, we narrowed it down to the kids in our ward and then from that list, to the kids that are in his class at school - which ultimately took it down to the two he invited: Conner and Logan. (very cute kids)

So they each got a $10 arcade card and blew through that in about 45 minutes. Then we went miniature golfing (which was inside and realy cool!) and then had pizza for lunch. We had an excellent time! They were the best behaved kids in the arcade (by a long ways!).

I definitely have to say a BIG THANKS to the Orton family for coming along - as Ryan had to end up working and wasn't able to go with us - it was nice to know someone else was there (just in case!). Thanks a lot guys!

YOu are a good mom. I am mean and only let my girls have a friend party every other year.
You had drama with your guest list-oh man-you should come on over to my house. I know, I know-Have I met their mother, but still.
Looks like everyone had a fun time. You really are a good mom-no scratch that-great mom.
You know, we live so close, we really should get together. I know, I am a loser.

Michelle had given me your blog address a while ago, but i just found the paper again today. i couldn't pass up the opportunity to see what Ryan is up to;) i can hear him grunting, rolling his eyes and making some noise that sounds like Oh...blah blah something. Anyway. Good to hear from you!
