Bitter Sweet...

It was my sister Jenny's 34th Birthday yesterday. My Mom and I took the little girls and went out to the cemetery to put some sunflowers on her grave. It's always good to go out there. I'm afraid the little girls are a little too comfortable at the cemetery. They acted like we were at the park! LOL! It's all good...

Erin & Phoenix

The headstone has their hand-prints and foot-prints on the back, so they were comparing. Phoenix is about the age Erin was when Jenny passed away, so her hands fit into Erin's hand-prints - Phoenix thought that was pretty cool.

That night we had a birthday party in honor of Jen at my house. It was fun. My Dad "toasted" in honor of Jenny... it was pretty funny. I'm sure Jenny was rolling her eyes and laughing at him. But that's my Dad.

Happy Birthday Jen! We miss you lots!

Hey Mindy...I just thought I would tell you guys that I was talking through facebook to my old Warrior News teacher and she was asking me about Jen. What she said made me smile, so I thought I would share.
"I heard something from a friend of my son who is related to Jenny, that she passed away. She was on my staff and what a riot! She always had me laughing and she was an amazing writer. Her and Jen Sykes were so fun together. And then there was the staff "love" story between her and I think it was Eric (?) Not sure of the name, but he was the sports editor on the staff one year."

It is fun to hear other peoples memories of Jen. I know we all miss her a ton.
