Dallon's Road Trip

{The moving/cleaning crew.}

My brother, Todd, and his family moved from Cedar City, Utah to Madison, South Dakota the first part of September. We went down to Cedar City for several reasons, one to take my Mom down so she could drive one of the big moving trucks, also to bring back either the snowmobiles or the boat, and then also to help them finish packing up. We got there late friday night and stayed there at their Cedar house and then the next morning we got up early and started to get everything packed up.

While we were packing up, Dallon was doing his best to try and convince everyone that he needed to go on the road trip too. He really wanted to ride in those big trucks and see where they were going! So he got his way, as usual.

They made a lot of different stops, but they really didn't get to stop and do any site seeing, so after staying in South Dakota for a few days and helping my brother's family get settled in, my Mom (Grandma) and Dallon stopped at a few places on the way home.

Here are some pictures of their travels to South Dakota:

Dallon had a wonderful time. He hasn't stopped telling us stories about it... some we question whether they really happened, most are exaggerated... but it shows he obviousley had a really good time. Thanks to Todd and his family for putting up with him and a big thanks to Grandma for taking him along!

Dallon! Holy Crap dude! That's amazing! I totally would love to travel one day. No better way than in a moving truck with grandma. :)

I really like Todd and MJ's house. It looks really pretty - so country-ish. I love the driveway too. ;) It's weird to just see so many wide open spaces with no mountains.

Good Luck Higley's!

Thanks for Posting about it Mindy. The pictures tell such a story!

Okay, I miss your son...there I said it! He looks like he had so much fun with Todd's family and Grandma. What a lucky boy to be able to spend so much one-on-one time with Grandma. He'll remember that forever. I can't believe he got to go to Mt. Rushmore. That is going to need some story telling by Dallon!!
